From 2001 to today: More than 150 years of success at Heraeus
In 2001, the Heraeus Group celebrated its 150th anniversary. The small Unicorn Pharmacy where Wilhelm Carl Heraeus began his work had developed into a precious metals and technology group with more than 11,000 employees in facilities all over the world.
“A tradition of innovation” was the motto for the 2001 jubilee year. What Wilhelm Carl Heraeus began more than 150 years ago, his descendants carry forward today. Still a family-owned company, Heraeus is well equipped for the technological and economic challenges that lie ahead.
Even now, an innovative spirit and business acumen characterize this family-owned company. The global market is constantly changing; so too are Heraeus Holding and its companies, more than 100 strong. Subsidiaries are relinquished, new business sectors opened. With its open corporate culture and broad product portfolio, the company is not dependent on developments in individual branches of industry.
Looking forward, Heraeus has set itself a number of goals: maintaining above-average growth on its own and through acquisitions, strengthening its international market position and partnerships with customers, and building on the solid foundation of its broad product portfolio to expand its role as an innovative pioneer.
